Children at First Church
At First Congregational Church, we believe that children are among our most treasured assets. We are committed to providing safe space to enable young minds, bodies and souls to develop into all that God calls them to be.
We understand that raising a family is increasingly difficult, and we are dedicated to helping provide the support that families of all types need to ensure the well-being of our littlest members.
In our diverse community we celebrate families in the many varieties in which they come: single-parent families, blended families, gay and lesbian parents, traditional two-parent families, mixed ethnicity families and any other arrangement in which people live and love one another. All are welcome in this community of faith.
To ensure the safety of all children, we have adopted a Child Protection Policy that means that we have a minimum of two teachers in every classroom and that volunteers and staff who work with children have had background checks.
