Emergency Needs & Rainy Day Shelter

The church provides emergency shelter to the homeless. Each winter, we serve as the Rainy Day Emergency Shelter for Long Beach. When it rains, 100-200 homeless people spend the day in the dining room located beneath our sanctuary. In 2004 and 2005, we also served for six weeks as the Overnight Emergency Shelter for Long Beach housing 130 homeless people each night.
