Fauré’s “Requiem” and St. Clair’s “Mass for Social Justice”

Our choir, combined with some other local church choirs, will be singing Faure’s “Requiem,” one of the most beautiful of all choral works. Also on the program will be the world premiere of the “Mass for Social Justice” by Kevin St. Claire. He has taken the traditional liturgy of the mass and set it to some well-known spirituals that have a strong connection to the civil rights movement.Interspersed among the mass will be some contemporary spiritual/gospel numbers presented by the Carver Cossey Singers.  There will also be a little Gershwin played on the mighty Möhler! Tickets for the event, produced by Cathedral Productions, can be purchased at their website: https://cathedralproductions.org/.
