Bellissimo
Our most recent addition to the First Church music groups is our
Adult Handbell Choir. Bellissimo was formed in March 2005 and currently has
between 10 and 15 members. Their first performance was for the September
Serenade event, an afternoon of entertainment provided by the Sanctuary
choir and many different soloists. The ringers range in age from 18 to 93! A fun time is had by all and we even learn a little bit about music along
the way. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:45 to 7:30 pm.
Charming Chimes
Charming Chimes is a chime choir for children in grades K-4. Their rehearsal and performance schedule is variable. They play occasionally on Sunday mornings. Charming Chimes is directed by Heather Chambers and Kay Gault.
All Seasons Choir
- All Seasons Choir is a voice choir for children ages 5 - 11. (ages can be flexible) Rehearsals are Sunday mornings during the school year at 9 a.m. in the Choir Room. They sing regularly in our Sunday service.
- All Seasons Choir Continued is a voice choir for Middle School Youth and older if interested. Some music experience is desirable but not required. Rehearsals are Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the Youth Music Room during the school year. This most newly formed group will perform for Sunday morning services on a regular basis.
Both of these choirs are directed by Tracy Halter.

First Congregational Church hosts a number of concerts and recitals throughout the year. Here are the special musical events coming up in 2010:
Cal State Fullerton Brass Ensemble - Friday, May 7, 12:10 p.m.
Café Concert - Saturday, August 21, 2 p.m.
Cal State Long Beach Winter Festival Choral Concerts - Saturday, December 4, 4 and 8 p.m., and Sunday, December 5, 4 p.m.
