Youth at First Church
At First Congregational Church, we recognize that young people in their teen-age years are in the midst of one of the most challenging and exciting times of their lives. It is now that they will be exposed to new ways of thinking and new ways of being that will establish the foundation for many of the decisions that will help to determine their future.
We believe that being a part of a faithful community with role models, support, and room for exploration is vitally important to people in Junior High and High School. We are working to continually improve the learning, play, work and service opportunities for young people so that their imaginations, limits and capacity for caring will be constantly stretched.
We are aligned with the larger United Church of Christ denomination and work with the Southern California Nevada Conference to enlarge the opportunities that our young people are offered.
