Office Manager Position
First Congregational Church of Long Beach is seeking a church office manager who is skilled in providing consistent administrative support, while also serving as a welcoming and hospitable representative to all who call or stop by the office. A successful candidate will be well-organized and can guide and help facilitate communication between the multitudes of church groups, organizations, and tenants that use our church campus. This candidate will work closely with the ministers and will be responsible for several weekly tasks, including newsletters and bulletins. We seek self-motivated, positive-minded, progressive-thinking individuals, who can work in teams or on individual tasks with equal desire and commitment. We are looking for someone who can take direction when needed, and is comfortable asking questions to fully understand a project or situation.
First Congregational Church of Long Beach is a progressive Christian church that has a large LGBTQ membership. We are located in downtown Long Beach, in a historic building that services the greater community through our congregation and our ministry partners.
The position is in-person, hourly (non-exempt) and full time, up to 40 hours per week, pays $55,000-$60,000 per year and includes health and dental insurance and paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. All First Congregational Church of Long Beach employees are subject to a criminal background check and Live Scan.
